John P. Kennedy was raised among the rolling hills of Central New York in Cazenovia, New York. When he was four, his father brought home a guide book for mammals. The illustrations by James Gordon Irving ignited a lifelong love for our wild neighbors.

After many years of working in the concrete and masonry field, he combined his knowledge of concrete with his love of art and animals into life-size concrete animal sculptures. His concrete sculptures are not only life-size but life-like in coloration and stance. The striking realism of his work reflects the many hours devoted to research and preparation.

He attended RIT as a professional photography major and now revels in having a darkroom on his computer.

Recently, he has written a series of short stories and included them in this blog. There is a way to contact John on this site. He also has made several books. Search "Cazenovia on Blurb and check this one out: https://www.blurb.com/b/9744059-a-look-at-cazenovia

John also has a facebook page called  JP Kennedy Sculptor.
